Okta, Inc. (NASDAQ:OKTA), the leading independent provider of identity for the enterprise, has announced the appointment of Samantha Fisher as Head of Dynamic Work. Fisher will be spearheading Okta’s transition to a flexible work environment, overseeing its Dynamic Work model to both support this shift and enable team collaboration and success.

The appointment comes five months after Okta announced its new policy to give all employees the option to work remotely permanently, in the office, or a hybrid approach of the two, based on personal preference and needs. In her role as Head of Dynamic Work, Fisher will leverage her diverse background across design and construction, associate services, technology, sustainability, and marketing and communications, to bring a people-centric lens to Okta’s Dynamic Work framework. Focused on enablement for both productivity and connectivity, she will partner with cross-functional teams to reimagine office design, activate the use of data, explore workplace technologies, and amplify the employee experience.

In addition to further opening hiring beyond office hubs, Fisher will support employees to work more asynchronously across time zones, in a flexible way of working which suits them. She will also support Okta’s plans to set up smaller hubs around the globe that function as “experiential offices” that employees can visit for specific uses, like team collaboration.

Fisher has more than 15 years of experience as an executive real estate leader, primarily within Corporate Real Estate organisations, focused on strategies and operations that enhance experience and deliver business value. Prior to joining Okta, she led transformational workplace efforts that integrate people, process and technology at organisations including Transwestern, Citadel, and Capital One. Understanding that the workplace is a vital part of the business ecosystem and a key element of organisational culture, Fisher focuses on developing creative and holistic solutions that support shifts in workforce operations and enable competitive advantage.

“What drew me to Okta is this philosophy that our Dynamic Work is going to be built on a foundation of equity for all parts and pieces of how people engage with or experience the workplace,” said Fisher. “‘For remote work to truly succeed, it needs to be evangelised at the top and at the bottom of the company, with both meeting in the middle. I look forward to being a driving force for a successful model of Dynamic Work at Okta.”
