OpenBlend today announces a series of product developments that make it easier for managers and employees to have the regular and effective conversations that drive performance.
OpenBlend is a purpose-built HR tech platform that enables employees to talk about their wellbeing, motivation, and development as the drivers of high performance. Over the past year, OpenBlend has forged key partnerships with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, and Webex, creating single sign-on ecosystems that empower employees to view and track their objectives from within their preferred communications channel.
Commenting on the integrations, OpenBlend Founder & CEO, Anna Rasmussen, said: “Eighty-five per cent of our end-users live in Teams as part of their everyday work so it makes complete sense that OpenBlend sits within that. We want to make it as easy as possible for employees to have great conversations because that’s how we support regular cadence and ultimately, performance. Our users also receive prompts and reminders within their day-to-day communications platforms, which means they’re more aware of what they need to do to prepare for an upcoming one-to-one – and that always makes for a better conversation.”
OpenBlend is also announcing a move towards modular implementation whereby customers can choose to onboard specific modules in accordance with their business needs and plans. Rasmussen continued: “We built OpenBlend to support employees on an individual level because we recognise that no two employees are the same. The same goes for businesses. Every organisation needs to build from their own starting point, and a modular approach supports that. It’s about giving our customers the flexibility to implement in a way that works best for their business and their people.”
Other recent updates include a post-conversation sentiment feature that enables managers and employees to indicate whether or not they found a conversation to be valuable. Since introducing this update, 94% of end-user employees and 89% of managers have rated their conversations as ‘highly valuable’.
OpenBlend has received various accolades for its commitment to innovation over the past 12 months, notably winning ‘Best HR Supplier’ at the CIPD People Management Awards and ‘Best HR Tech Provider’ at the Personnel Today Awards. The company was also recently featured on the G2 Best Performance Management Systems 2023 for the first time, going straight in as a ‘high performer’.
