In support of International Men’s Health Week, Peppy is hosting an open dialogue about men’s health in the workplace, featuring Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave

Tuesday 23rd May 2023, London: On Thursday 15th June, Digital health app Peppy ( is hosting a first-of-its-kind, free online summit that aims to break down common taboos in men’s health, and reveal the crucial role employers have to play in improving health outcomes for male employees. With research highlighting 1 in 5 men won’t make it to retirement age, men’s health is in crisis. While the blame for this is often put on men themselves, Peppy believes that’s only half the problem.

Dr Mridula Pore, Peppy Co-Founder & Co-CEO explains: “Traditional healthcare puts the onus on the individual to ask for help. This approach just doesn’t engage men in the same way as women. Long standing societal norms teach men to be stoic, strong and brave – you can see where the problems come from. It’s time to open up the conversation on men’s health, rethink how we deliver healthcare for men and meet them where they are. This is why employers have such a vital role to play by providing access to healthcare at or via the workplace. Just think of the number of times a man goes to work by the time he’s 50 versus the number of times he’ll likely see a GP.”

Together with leading experts, HR teams who’ve already tackled some of these issues and men with real, personal stories to tell, attendees to ‘Unzipped 2023: Men’s Health Exposed’ will learn about the true impact men’s health issues are having at work, and come away equipped with the tools and confidence needed to drive change.

Peppy, which works with clients such as Adobe, Disney, Accenture and Natwest, will be hosting Olympic Gold Medallist and passionate advocate for men’s health, Sir Steve Redgrave. During his chat with Peppy Co-Founder Dr Mridula Pore, Sir Steve will discuss his own health experiences and views on the relationship between careers and neglecting one’s health.

Ahead of Unzipped, Sir Steve Redgrave ( comments, “There is an ongoing stigma and taboo around the topic of health among men which we urgently need to remove. I speak from experience when I say I understand how hard it can be to confront your own health, especially when you’re busy with work, but we can and must do better. I’m delighted to be joining Peppy for this first edition of Unzipped.”

During Unzipped, expert panellists and hosts will lead discussions and Q&As on a range of topics related to men’s health, including:
– Low testosterone
– Prostate health
– STIs
– Erectile dysfunction
