Leading high street restaurant chain, Prezzo, has today announced that it won the PAPA award for Best Pizza Restaurant, in the multiple operator category. The PAPA judges cited the quality and freshness of Prezzo’s ingredients combined with highly trained chefs in every restaurant.
Prezzo was also a finalist in Best Mental Health Strategy at the Employee Benefits Awards 2021 and is delighted to have its commitment to employees recognised in this way. Employee health and well-being is a vital area of focus for Prezzo and this accolade is a fantastic boost to their efforts and will spur them on to be ever better.
The leading restaurant chain also competed against 500 other companies and won the International Green Apple Environment Award for Environment Best Practice as well as being shortlisted for “recycling excellence” and “partnership excellence” at the National Recycling Awards. The final NRA results will be announced on the 8th December 2021.
Karen Jones, Executive Chair, Prezzo said:
“As a group of Italian restaurants, we are extremely proud to have won such an award and to have our delicious pizza acknowledged as the best. Thank you PAPA!
And last week we turned 21! It really does feel like a coming of age as here we are, flourishing and happy and focussed on serving delicious food to our lovely customers.
Thank you to all who have noticed what we are doing – and as ever, thank you to all our Prezzo people who do such fantastic work day after day.”
The PAPA award is awarded by the Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association which recognises the best in pizza and pasta across the UK.
Best Pizza Restaurant is awarded by a panel of industry experts who review data collated by Kantar, Lumina Intelligence and Mealtrak. The judges review all the captured data including PAPA’s own customer survey polls which include food quality, service, value for money and customer satisfaction.
The Employee Benefits Awards is an annual event dedicated to reward, benefits and the HR community and is designed to recognise excellence and celebrate the organisations, teams and individuals who have made a significant difference through their reward and benefits strategies.
Rewarding and promoting environmental excellence since 1994, the awards recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice across the globe.
The National Recycling Awards 2021 showcases products, teams, organisations or partnerships and recognise them as leaders in their field within the waste and recycling industry – and in the wider economy.
Prezzo has 150 restaurants nationwide and all offer a wide variety of pasta and pizza on menus available across all of its restaurants for both lunch and dinner and to suit all budgets and palates. Separate allergy-aware menus are available across all Prezzo restaurants.
