East of England recruitment agency, Ambitions Personnel, which has provided temporary and permanent recruitment solutions across an array of sectors since 1990, has launched The Ambitions Training Academy to provide proactive and tailored learning to its new recruiters.

Although the firm already provides training solutions and has existing employee developmental programmes, the new Training Academy is Ambitions’ first dedicated scheme to create brand new consultants for recruitment novices.

Consisting of an initial 4-week intense training course, followed by continuous learning and mentoring, the programme will be managed by Ambitions’ existing, senior recruiters. The ongoing mentoring will aim to educate the new consultants to be confident and proficient as part of the award-winning Ambitions’ team.

Director of Ambitions Personnel, Claire Haggar, explains: “As a business, ensuring that we provide training and upskilling opportunities is essential to ensuring our staff retention and satisfaction. Through The Ambitions Training Academy, we can progress our existing, non-recruitment staff, as well as create new and gainful employment for fresh talent.”

Claire, who over her career with Ambitions Personnel has mentored many of the firm’s most senior consultants, adds: “Without question, 2020 has been a challenging and difficult year, but despite this, Ambitions has still been able to grow. As a resilient business, it is vital that we focus on combatting the UK’s unemployment crisis which The Ambitions Training Academy will do.”

“Teaching will cover theoretical class-room based lessons, as well as practical and role-play learning, which will aim to build the best consultants possible. We’re essentially creating jobs that will create jobs.”

Responsible for implementing and overseeing the new Ambitions Training Academy is the firm’s newly appointed Head of Commercial Recruitment, Kiran Kaur-Costa. With over five-years of experience in developing and running training academies, Kiran plans to offer tailored mentoring to consultants based on their industry ambitions.

Kiran, who joined Ambitions Personnel in November 2020, explains: “The academy is the gateway for preparing trainee consultants with the skills and techniques they need to manage their recruitment markets and become successful within their chosen careers.”
