S3 Advertising, a full-service advertising and creative agency, has been recognised as a well led and well managed organisation demonstrating ‘good’ levels of employee engagement, despite the current unprecedented circumstances.

The organisation, which has grown from a three-person start-up housed in an attic to employing over 30 staff, has been certified by Best Companies and recognised for their commitment to employees, with a ‘One to Watch’ status.

The accolade is a reflection of S3’s commitment to staff during the pandemic, where it established initiatives such as wellbeing afternoons to reduce screen time and to allow employees to spend more time with family.

They also extended the Christmas 2020 shut down for two weeks, to ensure all staff spent extra time with those who are important when it is wanted most.

In addition, managers organised regular check-ins with all staff, and employees were given the opportunity to benefit from mental health cover and access to a counselling service.

Mel Matthews, Managing Partner and HR and Operations Director, said: “The last year has seen our teams collaborate with some exciting clients whilst also working tirelessly on S3’s own vision and branding – and this accreditation as ‘One to Watch’ is the icing on the cake. As an advertising and creative agency, we are now prepared to show nationally how we can bite big!”

Best Companies has over 20 years’ experience in helping organisations measure and improve employee engagement using a robust methodology, with their accreditation standard certifying excellence in the workplace since 2006.

Jonathan Austin, Founder and CEO of Best Companies, said: “Well done to S3 Advertising on their fantastic achievement. Their One to Watch status represents a level of employee engagement that many organisations strive for. It demonstrates that they genuinely value their employees and have kept them at the forefront of all they do at a time when it means more than ever before. Congratulations to all involved”.
