As 80% of employees don’t know what EAP is, Plumm offers a more accessible alternative

Plumm, a workplace mental wellbeing solution, today announces the launch of its mobile app as part of its mission to make preventative and interventive mental wellbeing services easily accessible to employees.

Furthermore, a survey of 2,000 people conducted by Plumm shows over 80% of employees are currently unaware or do not know if they have an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Though many organisations currently offer mental health support, such as EAP, the service is obsolete if less than one in five (17%) employees are aware of it.  Additionally, the survey found that only one in ten (9%) use it, highlighting the pressing need for better education around mental health, as well as more user-friendly services that people can access from anywhere, on any device.

Plumm offers preventative, interventive, and personal growth mental wellbeing services through multiple avenues, including the new mobile app in addition to its existing Slack and Microsoft Teams apps.

Based on your unique needs, Plumm pairs people with one of its 150+ global therapists whom they can chat with whenever they need. Plumm also offers one-to-one video therapy sessions, as well as self-help services, including meditations and expert-led courses.
