Hales Homecare Is Recognising Those Who Have Gone Above and Beyond
Leading care provider Hales Homecare has recently revealed the Norfolk based care workers who have won their coveted Gold Pin Badge award and an M&S gift voucher after they were entered into the care group’s £1000 Hales Heroes draw for six consecutive months.
All winners came from the Old Maltings care scheme in Swaffham, Norfolk, and the branch manager Alison Kingston-Miles had this to say, “We are really proud of all of the carers in our team. All of our staff are very committed 100% to their work and their service users, always putting their needs first.
Alison continues, “We have a great time, and it is lovely to see some of them recognised for their commitment. We are very proud of each and every one and would like to thank them all.”
The winners were Wendy Hipkin, Heather Whitehead, Sophie Newton, Michelle Hunt and Jyrad Nally, and here’s what each of them had to say on their fantastic achievement:
Wendy: “I was elated to receive this award. I feel very special. It’s great to receive some recognition, and my commitment to Hales is well received.”
Heather: “I felt ecstatic! Very privileged. It’s nice to be recognised, and I think I deserve it.”
Sophie: “I’m very happy. I’ve wanted to shop in the food hall for ages. They do a gorgeous cheesecake, so thank you, Hales, for recognising my work and commitment.”
Michelle: “I was over the moon! Made me feel very special.”
Jyrad: “This award made me feel very special and appreciated. I will enjoy my voucher and would like to thank Hales as it’s a great company to work for! We have a great team and some great service users.”
The Hales Heroes award programme, introduced back in 2017, was founded to incentivise staff to keep up their hard work, while acknowledging and rewarding those prepared to go above and beyond the call of duty, which is even more pertinent given the circumstances created by the coronavirus. Carers who meet the criteria, which focuses on reliability, quality and professional competence, are entered into a monthly draw with the opportunity of winning £1,000.
Debbie Horne, Director of Operations for the East region comments, “We have seen exceptional performance and dedication from all of our Hales Heroes this year so it gave me great pleasure to be able to thank some of them personally. Hales Homecare deliver 2 million hours of care per year across the country – it is dedication like that shown by these carers that ensures every hour of care is personal.”
